SAAS covers the entire state of South Australia: a population of more than one and a half million in an area of 984377 square kilometres. As you can see, it's a big job |
||
| South Australia's capital city, Adelaide, has 18 stations in the metropolitan area. There are a further 18 stations in the State's major regional centres which are staffed by full-time paramedics and a network of dedicated volunteer stations scattered across the rural & remote communities of our State | ||
| SAAS has a mix of paid
and volunteer services strategically positioned across the State to ensure
we’re ready and able to respond.

(205kb PDF) In some areas of the State we work closely with the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Adelaide Bank State Rescue Helicopter Service – ensuring access to people in remote locations. We communicate and dispatch crews utilising technology supported by the South Australian Government Radio Network (SAGRN). |
