Defining the road ahead outlines a framework for the future service delivery model for SA Ambulance Service, designed to meet increasing demand for ambulance services and the changing needs of the community.
It includes a number of exciting new initiatives which will put SA Ambulance Service at the frontline of alternative health service options. It will move away from the traditional model where patients are always transported to hospital emergency departments (EDs) and move to treating more patients in their own home and surrounds as well as other alternative treatment options.
